    Principales responsabilités

    The primary responsibility for the Customer Development Manager is to increase distribution and consumer awareness of Tree of Life products through innovative Head Office initiatives. Initiatives will incorporate Brand-specific marketing plans as well as Account-specific promotional activities with an emphasis on profitability and supply chain. The individual will act as a conduit between Loblaw and SDM Head Office, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales Management. Main accountability is measured in profitable sales achievement, expense control and product distribution.     • Focus on Category Management and Fact-Based Selling techniques to enhance the sale of the product mix and reduce fines and deductions.
    • Preparation and execution of Account Business Plans which will include short, mid and long term strategic brand building
    • Execution of independent account objectives/plans with minimum achievement of budgeted net sales and spending objectives.
    • Manage contractual requirements including, but not limited to:
      • Overview of Approved Product List reporting (additions, deletions)
      • Data Synchronization (EDI, price file maintenance)
      • Invoice format/Credit process
      • Promotions and forward buys
    • Develop strong long-term relationships with key trade personnel.
    • Execute timely presentation of all existing opportunities and new products.
    • Effective communication of all programs including - ads, in-store features, new products, planograms etc.
    • Timely communication of business needs and opportunities to Key Sales and Marketing personnel.
    • Presentation of Customer Development business reviews to appropriate key trade contacts.
    • Interact closely with Marketing, Retail Development, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Care and Warehouse associates.
    • Must maintain good attendance, safe work practices and maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
    • Assist in Customer Trade Shows which may include set up, tear down and/or working the show
    • Other duties and special projects as requested

    Exigences minimales, qualifications, compétences supplémentaires, aptitudes

    • Minimum of two (2) years key account experience in food sector or consumer packaged products.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and/or Marketing highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in MS Office required.
    • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and fluent in English with above average presentation skills with ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, management and key trade accounts
    • Demonstrate superior organizational and multi-tasking skills. Strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a strong working knowledge of category management.
    • Excellent interpersonal abilities with the ability to get along with diverse personalities and develop strong business relationships. Tactful, mature, and flexible. Must have good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
    • High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
    • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but be able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
